Getting on Equinox

Hello you all!
The tail ends of the season is upon us.  The fall is coming with all the colors, the angle of light and the smells!

In these last days of summer we have lots going on.  The Rumford that we got our permit for is almost ready for plaster and it's chimney!  And once it's all plastered and oiled we get to invite the inspector over to give us the thumbs up!  It's looking amazing!  Still something of the ugly duckling to the common eye, but as I see the shape and the plaster moving towards it I can see it's character!

We have still much to do, this week.  This project is volunteer supported, so check out the volunteer page and come spread the beauty of the burnt orange plaster! Perfect for the coming season, or really any season!

There are also two other building projects to join us on in the next two months.  A wood clay slip infill wall, earthen plaster and earthen floor project in North Portland and some earthen plaster on straw bale walls in Oregon City.  The straw bales were put up by the wonderful Lydia Doleman of Flying Hammer Inc.

And Claylin is becoming available for your use on October 2nd!  So much excitement there and much to do.  Keep up with this new product on the Claylin page and soon to be coming website!

We have done two floors so far with the ready mix, making sure it's good for all of you!  We are loving it in so many ways!

I imagine you are all feeling the season changes as well and the projects!  Tell me your stories and how is your mud?

Good cobing to you and enjoy the colors!
